Okay, alright... I got that from a movie, maybe it's a little corny, but it was a good movie and it's a great line(smile)! Besides the sentiment is something that really resonates within me. In 1986 the breath(and life) was literally knocked out of me, when as a twenty year old first timer I was sent to prison. In the following years I felt I had no reason to live, prison is a dead place, the breath of life nearly extinct. But as the years passed I noticed that life, and breath only die if you let it fade away. I learned to take great pleasure in small life giving moments. The smell of a cup of coffee on a cold grey morning, or the sound of sparrows outside my window in the spring. Now that my time to leave grows closer I look forward to finding a breath of fresh air and life beyond these prison walls.
